The Islanders are still sitting atop the Metro Division and with the way they have played in the past couple of games do not look like they will be giving up that standings anytime soon. However, the Islanders are definitely going to need to continue to play at a high level if they are going to have a chance to securing the Metro Division. The last game was a strong win for the Islanders as they beat the Oilers 5-2.

Mathew Barzal is the player who has been leading the Islanders on the year when it comes to scoring with a total of 50 points on the season. Barzal has been able to get 33 assist on the season. The goal scoring for the Islanders has been Anders Lee who has put in 19 goals on the season. Calgary is coming into this game sitting atop the Pacific Division after taking the top spot back from the Sharks. However, the Flames are a team that has really started to come around this year as a true team and that has definitely helped the team into being one of the best that you can find in the NHL as they have been shown as a great team.

Johnny Gaudreau is the player who the Flames have started to rely on quite a bit on the year. So far this season Gaudreau has been able to get a total of 78 points on the year with 49 assist and a total of 29 goals on the year. What else is helping the Flames out is Gaudreau does have a decent supporting cast compared to the other teams in the division.
