After picking up a stunning series sweep of the Islanders the Hurricanes now have to face a stiffer challenge in the Bruins who recently eliminate the Blue Jackets in a game 6 showdown. However, the game is definitely going to be a challenge for both sides as the Bruins had to put out a lot of effort to bring home the victory and the Hurricanes have had some injuries they have to overcome as they had Petr Mzarek go down in the series against the Islanders and while he is back to practicing he still was injured and had to miss some of the Islanders series and that can be a major concern for the Hurricanes coming into this game. Sebastian Aho was the regular season leader for the Hurricanes. He ended up getting a total of83 points with a total of 30 goals. The assist leader was Teuvo Teravainen who managed to help on 55 assist. Petr Mrazek was the main goalie and the one who was injured. During the regular season he has a 91.4% save percentage and allowed only 2.39 goals a game.

Brad Marchand is the points leader for the Bruins with 100 points and 64 assist on the year. David Pastrnak has been able to score a total of 38 goals on the season. When it comes to protecting the net the Bruins have been able to rely on the hands of Tukka Rask who has been steady in net. Rask has saved 91.2% of the shots sent towards him and has a goals against average of 2.48.

The Bruins are coming in after bringing home a win in the series against the Blue Jackets. A win that was actually harder to come by than expected. What is going to make it even more of a challenge for the Bruins is the fact the Hurricanes are well rested and projected to have Mzarek back from his injury and he was a dominate force in net for the Hurricanes. Final Score Prediction, Carolina Hurricanes win 3-1.
