Flyers at Blues 4/4/19 - NHL Picks & Predictions

The Flyers have managed to go over the five hundred mark on the year and with only a couple of games left, the worst the Flyers could finish would beat the five hundred mark. That is the downside to the season for the Flyers. The good news is the new plan that the Flyers have been flying since the change of management in the front office is definitely picking up and catching on as the team has been winning quite a few games after settling down and for a while were a playoff threat.

One thing that most likely will not change for the Flyers is Claude Giroux will still be the team leader. Giroux on the year managed to get a total of 81 points and 60 assist. He has been feeding the puck quite a bit to Sean Couturier who has found the back of the net 32 times this season. The Blues tie for second place in the Central Division lasted for a day. That is when the Blues would fall behind the Jets and the Predators again, but only by a couple of points. The downside is falling back did mean they are still within striking distance of the Stars who are only behind the Blues by a total of 3 points in the standings and that is definitely not a position the Blues want to fall back to as the Wild Card teams have a rough go ahead of them.

The Blues have relied on Ryan O’Reilly to do most of the scoring for the team this year. He has managed to get the team lead in points with 74 points and 47 assist. However, most of the goal scoring has been handled by Vladimir Tarasenko who has put in a total of 31 goals on the year so far.
