The Florida Panthers continue a West Coast road trip Thursday night with a visit to San Jose, CA to take on the San Jose Sharks. Florida comes into Thursday with five wins through 10 games played after losing three of the last four games including a two goal loss to Arizona Tuesday night. The San Jose Sharks continue a homestand Thursday night struggling immensely this season with only three wins and 12 games played riding a two game losing streak after a loss to Anaheim. Kaapo Kahkonen was terrible in the net for San Jose posting a .886 save percentage after allowing five goals on 44 shots before giving up the game deciding goal in the shootout as well.

The San Jose Sharks have been abysmal on the offensive side of the puck this season averaging only 2.4 two goals on 28.7 shots, while their defense is allowing 3.25 goals on just under 31 shots per game. Erik Karlsson leads the San Jose offense with 15 points to go along with a team high nine goals on 32 shots. Tomas Hertl is the top setup man for the San Jose offense with seven assists this year.
