Calgary is sitting in the top spot in the Pacific Division on the season. The Flames have a 26-18-5 record this year. The Flames are also coming into the game here after picking up a 2-1 win over the Maple Leafs. The win was actually a little bit of a shocker as the Flames defense kept the powerful offense of the Maple Leafs in check.

This season the Flames have ended up getting a total of 2.65 goals a game. The defense for Calgary has allowed a total of 2.94 goals a game. When it comes to the power play the Flames have converted at a clip of 19.1% on the year, but the penalty kill for Calgary is at 83.2% on the year.

Ottawa has not been the best team in the NHL on the year. However, the Senators have a 16-23-8 record on the year so far. The Senators in their last game ended up losing by a 4-2 score to the Vegas Golden Knights.

The Ottawa offense has improved some with a total of 2.67 goals a game. The Senators have allowed a total of 3.35 goals a game. The Ottawa team has ended up converting on the power play at a dismal 11.3% on the year and the penalty kill for Ottawa has killed off 80.6% of the power plays faced.

The Senators are looking to win in this game, but the dismal defense and the lack of a true power play the Senators could have some problems here. The Senators defense is also suspect and with the way that the Flames were able to bring home a win over the Maple Leafs it will be easy to see the Flames controlling the Senators in the game here. Final Score Prediction, Calgary Flames win 3-1.
