Calgary is coming into the game after picking up a nice shootout win over the Dallas Stars. Granted, the win was one that came in a game that a lot of people thought the Flames should have dominated, but it was a win that allowed the Flames to have a good showing and that definitely helped the team out quite a bit. Now, one thing that the Flames have been able to do has been play balanced hockey on the year and that will help them out quite a bit.
This year the Flames have been able to score at a clip of 3 goals a game. The team has ended up converting on the power play at 20%. The defense has allowed only 3 goals a game, but have managed to kill off the opponents power play at a clip of 78.6% this year.
After starting off really hot and beating the Sharks easily, the Golden Knights seem to have slammed back down to earth. The Golden Knights have lost the last 2 games they have played in and have really been lacking defensively in those losses. The Golden Knights in the last game allowed 4 goals to an anemic Coyotes offense and that definitely was very disappointing for the Golden Knights.
The Golden Knights on the year have been able to score at a clip of 3.25 goals a game, but have allowed 2.50 goals a game. The team has done decent on the power play converting on 21.4% of the power plays. The defense has managed to do really well on the penalty kill at 93.3% on the year.
