By some form of a shocking turn of events the Ducks are coming into this game unbeaten. Yes, the Ducks have found an offense that compliments the defensive efforts that John Gibson has put on the net perfectly well. What is even better for the Ducks this year is they have been able to pull away from some of their opponents on the year and that will definitely help them out in getting the good wins they need if they can continue to play at the same level.

With the Ducks the team has managed to score at a clip of 2.50 goals a game. The team is only giving up a goal a game on the year so far. The downside is the power play for the Ducks is still sitting at 0% on the year, but the Ducks have not allowed a power play goal at all this year.

In a surprise compared to last year the Red Wings are coming into the game here with a record that has them unbeaten on the year. The Red Wings have managed to pick up a decent win in both of their games. The downside is the Red Wings are also playing poorly on the defensive side and if they do face a team with a good defense the Red Wings could be in trouble.

This season the Red Wings have given up 3 goals a game on the year so far. What is impressive, though, is the fact that the Red Wings have managed to score 4.5 goals a game on the season. The Red Wings have converted only at a clip of 10% on the power play this year. The defense for the Red Wing has killed off 75% of the power plays they have faced on the year.

While the Red Wings have been able to play decent on the season, they are about to run into a defense that is equal to what the Red Wings offense can do. The Ducks defense will play well enough to shut down the Red Wings offense and keep them contained to the point the team is able to bring home another win in this game here. Final Score Prediction, Anaheim Ducks win 3-1.
