Ducks at Blackhawks 1/11/20 - NHL Picks & Predictions

Anaheim is coming into the game here after getting shut out in their last game on the ice. Granted, it was against one of the best defensive teams in the NHL, but it was a shutout that the Ducks did not want to have happen.  After the loss the Ducks dropped to 17-22-5 on the year so far.

The Ducks offense has been downright horrible so far with only 2.53 goals a game being scored. The Ducks have allowed 3.14 goals a game, but when it comes to the power play Anaheim has converted at a clip of 15.3% on the year and killed off only 78.7% of the opponents power plays.

The Blackhawks were unable to leapfrog the Predators in the last game to get out of the basement. That is because the Predators ended up beating the Blackhawks by a score of 5-2 and what is really impressive is Pekka Rinne the goalie for the Predators scored. The loss did drop the Blackhawks to a 19-20-6 record and 2 points away from climbing out of the basement.

This year when it comes to finding the back of the net the Chicago team has ended up getting 2.86 goals a game. The defense for Chicago has allowed 3.16 goals a game. The power play has converted at a clip of 15.1% on the year and the penalty kill has killed off 82% of the power plays faced this year.
