The Devils are playing in back to back games, the first of many this season. However, the Devils are a team that has managed to bring in quite a bit of new talent that could potentially have an impact on the game right away. One of those players that could continue to make an impact on the game is P.K. Subban the player they picked up from the Predators.

Heading into play on Friday the Devils had not played on the regular season yet, but had managed to play some great hockey in the preseason. The Devils ended up getting a 4-1 record in the last 5 games and that definitely could help them out quite a bit heading into the regular season, but the Devils have a strong opponent in the Jets the night before.

Buffalo is heading into this game here with a win over the Pittsburgh Penguins. That win was one that the team was not really looking towards getting, but it was definitely game that the Sabres deserved to win with the way that they played. The good news is the Sabres are heading into this game without any injuries from the first game of the year.

Conor Sheary is the player who has been able to lead the Sabres in the goal scoring as well. That is going to really come from the great goal scoring that he managed to do in the first game as he put in 2 goals. What really helped the Sabres out was the play if Casey Mittelstadt who ended up getting 2 assist on the day as well.

The Sabres are coming in with a day off after putting up a dominating performance over the Penguins. The Devils are going to face two strong teams in back to back days and that will definitely make it harder for the Devils to win, but the trades and acquisitions the team made in the offseason definitely help out here as the Devils are able to bring home a good showing, but fall short in this game. Final Score Prediction, Buffalo Sabres win 3-2.
