Failing far behind in the Metropolitan Division, the New Jersey Devils (4-5-4) head to Calgary to battle the Flames. With a young team, including 2019 Number 1 overall pick Jack Hughes, the Devils are building for a bright future. A victory against the Flames would be a huge a stepping stone for the Devils.

Taylor Hall has been solid thus far for the Devils and has 2 goals and 11 assists in 13 games this season. Kyle Palmieri is an additional scoring threat for New Jersey and has 6 goals and 4 assists on the year. Mackenzie Blackwood is the primary Goaltender for the Devils and is 4-2-3 thus far this season with a 89.1 save percentage.

Sitting in 3rd place in the Pacific Division with a 9-7-2 record and 20 points overall, the Calgary Flames are poised to make a large jump in the standings. The Flames post host to the New Jersey Devils but can ill afford to take the Devils lightly.

Matthew Tkachuk is a solid goal scoring option for the Flames and has 9 goals and 9 assists through 18 games this season. Elias Lindholm is an additional scoring threat for Calgary and has 10 goals and 6 assists this year. David Rittich mans the pipes for Calgary and is 8-4-2 this season with a 2.79 GAA.

The Devils have really struggled on the year and heading on the road it could really be a problem for the Devils as the Flames are playing great hockey at times. That will lead to the Flames having a decent game here, but also having an offense that can take advantage of the very weak Devils defense. Final Score Prediction, Calgary Flames win 4-2.
