Detroit Red Wings at Seattle Kraken 3/19/22 - NHL Picks & Predictions

The Detroit Red Wings continue a long road trip Saturday night with a game in Seattle, WA against the Seattle Kraken. Detroit comes into Saturday following a 1-0 win over Vancouver that ended a six game skid. Pius Suter provided the biggest spark of the game for Detroit scoring the only goal in the second period.

Offensively this season Detroit has been mediocre team averaging 2.84 goals per game on 29.6 shots. Dylan Larkin leads the Detroit offense with 58 points to go along with a team high 27 goals on 168 shots.

The Seattle Kraken will play their second consecutive home game Saturday night as one of the worst teams in the NHL at 18-38-6 overall after losing four of the last five games played following a 4-1 lost to Tampa Bay. Goalie Philipp Grubauer was obliterated by Tampa Bay posting a .905 save percentage after allowing four goals on 42 shots in just under 60 minutes on the ice.

Much of the Seattle struggles this year have been due to a terrible offense averaging only 2.55 goals per game on 28.5 shots as a team. Yanni Gourde leads the Seattle offense with 36 points and 22 assists this season. Jared McCann posts a team leading 23 goals on 149 shots.

Seattle is one of the worst teams in the NHL and will continue to struggle on Saturday. Look for Detroit to use their depth an offense on the road. Detroit will do enough to extend their current win streak to two games as Seattle continues and abysmal first year in the NHL. Final Score Prediction, Detroit wins 4-1.
