Detroit Red Wings at Philadelphia Flyers 3/25/23 - NHL Picks & Predictions

Last Updated: 03/24/2023 at 11:13 PM ET

This Saturday, Dylan Larkin and the Detroit Red Wings will head to the Wells Fargo Center to take on Carter Hart and the Philadelphia Flyers. The Detroit Red Wings will enter this game against the Philadelphia Flyers following a heartbreaking loss against the St Louis Blues this past Thursday which resulted in a final score of 4-3. The loss against the Blues is Detroit’s fourth loss in their last five games played.

The Red Wings won’t make a playoff appearance yet again this season as the Eastern Conference is stacked and plus, the Red Wings haven’t played well. The Red Wings will need to have a big offseason when it comes to bringing in skilled players, as the Red Wings won’t make the playoffs in the Eastern Conference for the next few years unless they are able to compete with the Rangers, Hurricanes, Bruins, Maple Leafs, and more.

The Philadelphia Flyers will enter this game against the Detroit Red Wings following a massive shootout win against the Minnesota Wild this past Thursday which resulted in a final score of 5-4. In the game against the Wild, the Flyers were down by one goal with around 5:00 left, until 21 year-old Tyson Foerster snapped home the tying goal. James van Riemsdyk scored the lone goal in the shootout to get the Flyers the win.

Safe to say that the Philadelphia Flyers have a great future when it comes to Tyson Foerster as he has only played 7 games in a Flyers jersey, but recorded two goals, 4 assists, and 6 points during that span. The Flyers have shown up big time in their last two games as they took down the Panthers prior to the game against the Wild by a score of 6-3. 11 goals in two games is definitely something to be proud of.

This game is pretty cut and dry when it comes down to it. The Philadelphia Flyers have now beat both the Florida Panthers and Minnesota Wild, both of which are very desperate as the playoffs come closer, while the Detroit Red Wings have been losing left, right, and center. The Flyers will be at home in this one and will leave the rink with a win. Take the Flyers. Final Score Prediction, Philadelphia Flyers win 4-2.
