Dallas Stars at Nashville Predators 10/13/22 - NHL Picks & Predictions

Bridgestone Arena will play host to a Thursday night NHL matchup between the Dallas Stars and the Nashville Predators. The Stars hired former Vegas head coach Peter DeBoer to develop a more balanced offense. Dallas was a one-line dominant attack a season ago, led by Joe Pavelsi with 81 points and Jason Robertson with 41 goals.

In their preseason finale, Dallas surrendered two power play goals during a 5-1 road loss against Minnesota. Joe Pavelski scored the only goal for the Stars, who finished the preseason on a three-game losing streak.

The Nashville Predators finished fifth in the Central Division with a 45-30-7 record and lost to Colorado in the first round of the Western Conference playoffs. The Predators started the 2022-2023 campaign off strong with consecutive victories versus San Jose in Prague. In the second game, Nashville scored three times during the second period and held on for a 3-2 win.

RW Nino Niederreiter started the scoring for Nashville and put his team ahead for good with his second goal of the game. Filip Forsberg tallied the second score for the Predators on an assist from Matt Duchene and Mikael Granlund.
