Dallas Stars at Boston Bruins 10/25/22 - NHL Picks & Predictions

The Tuesday NHL schedule will get underway with a battle between the Dallas Stars and the Boston Bruins from TD Garden. The Stars (4-1-1) have allowed just 12 goals through their first six games and are sitting atop the Central Division standings. Last night, Dallas surrendered three unanswered goals to start the third period during a 4-2 road loss against Ottawa.

Joel Kiviranta put Dallas on the scoreboard first with his second goal of the season on an assist from Esa Lindell (2). Wyatt Johnson’s second goal of the season came with less than three minutes remaining on an assist from Tyler Seguin (4).

The Boston Bruins have won five of their first six games and lead the Atlanta Division with 27 goals scored. On Saturday, LW Taylor Hall scored a power play goal with 11 seconds remaining in overtime to lift Boston to a 4-3 home victory versus Minnesota. The Bruins (5-1-0) outshot the Wild by a 43-27 margin and controlled 36 of 59 faceoffs.

Taylor Hall also assisted on two first period Boston goals scored by Nick Foligno (3) and David Pastrnak (4). Hampus Lindholm staked the Bruins to a 3-1 second period lead on assists from Matt Grzelcyk (2) and Craig Smith (2).

Boston D Charlie McAvoy (shoulder) and LW Brad Marchand (hip) are expected to remain sidelined until early December. These two teams rank in the top ten in expected goals and power play percentage. Look for the Bruins to improve to 5-0 at home with a win that goes over the total. Final Score Prediction, Boston Bruins win 5-3.
