The Coyotes have been struggling on the year so far and it is not surprising that they are ranked towards the bottom of the league. However, the Coyotes are a team that has started to pick up some extra wins on the year recently and that has helped them out in getting the confidence they need to have.

A very true statement of how the Coyotes have bounced back is the beating the Coyotes put on the Flames on Monday. The Coyotes were not expected to do much, but they were able to put in 5 goals and only allowed a couple of goals. Carolina is not like the Coyotes in the fact the Hurricanes are a team that has picked up some good wins, but at the same time have ended up dropping more games than what they would care to have dropped. Some of those losses have come from the sketchy play the team has had on the year and the streaky play really showed up on Tuesday as the Hurricanes ended up getting a big loss hung on them by the Oilers in a 7-3 loss.
