The Maple Leafs were able to even the series after getting a big win over the Blue Jackets. The Maple Leafs ended up putting in a total of 3 goals in the game, but allowed no goals in the game. Toronto does have a potential injury issue as they had a player taken off on a stretcher late in the third period.

Offensively the Blue Jackets were unable to really do much and most of the play was in the Blue Jackets defensive zone. Auston Matthews did really well for the Maple Leafs with a goal and an assist. Tavares and Rielly ended up getting a goal as well. The assist leaders for the Maple Leafs ended up with another assist from Nylander and Dermott.

Joonas Korpisalo is the goalie who played in the game for the Blue Jackets. Korpisalo faced a total of 38 shots in the game so far. Korpisalo managed to get 36 saves in the game. Out of all of his saves 25 were equal strength, but 11 of them ended up being on the shorthand defense.

Protecting the net for the Maple Leafs was the job of Andersen. He ended up facing only 20 shots in the game and turned them all away. Out of his saves only 14 were equal strength saves, 3 were on the power play and 3 were shorthanded saves.

Coming to the game here the Blue Jackets are definitely going to need to come out a lot more physical than what they were in the second game. The Blue Jackets, if they do not come out playing more physical in the game will quickly fall behind in the game here and not be able to make up the difference in the game. The Maple Leafs, though, may be a strong player short and that can make it harder for the Maple Leafs to win this game. Final Score Prediction, Columbus Blue Jackets win 2-1.
