Colorado Avalanche vs St. Louis Blues 8/2/20 - NHL Picks & Predictions

In another round robin game for the NHL you have the Blues squaring off against the Avalanche. The game will definitely be one that is going to help the fans get back into the swing of things. However, the battle will actually be between which one of these two teams will play the best on the ice and with how these two played in the regular season it will be a great game.

For the Saint Louis Blues the offense relied on Ryan O’Reilly with 61 points. O’Reilly ended up getting 49 assist to lead the Blues. When it came to scoring the goals the Blues were led by David Perron with 25 goals. The leaders for Colorado was Nathan MacKinnon with 93 points. MacKinnon ended up getting 35 goals and ended up with a total of 58 assist.

The goalie for the Blues will most likely be Jordan Binnington. Binnington in the regular season ended up with a 30-13-7 record. When it comes to goals against Binnington allowed only 2.56 goals a game and ended up saving 91.2% of the shots sent towards him.

The Avalanche may end up relying on Philipp Grubauer who posted an 18-12-4 record on the year. When it comes to allowing goals Grubauer allowed only 2.63 goals a game, but ended up turning away 91.6% of the shots that were sent toward him,

In the game here the Blues are heading into the game here with a lot better offense and defense combination. The Avalanche tend to rely on MacKinnon for almost all of their offensive production. Look for that to be problematic for the Avs who are contained offensively in the game here and the Blues offense is able to do just a little bit better to bring home the win. Final Score Prediction, Saint Louis Blues win 3-2.
