The Blackhawks are coming here after getting a fairly decent showing in the preseason. The Chicago team finished at a record of 3 wins and 3 losses on the preseason. The last tuneup game for Chicago ended up being a big blowout win over Minnesota.

In the game the starting goalie for the Blackhawks has not been announced. However, the battle could be between the wily veteran in Marc-Andrew Fleury or upcoming star Kevin Lankinen. Either one of those two players would definitely be a great addition to the goal tending ranks and starting ranks for Chicago.

The preseason for Colorado was a challenge and a rocky start. The Avalanche are hoping the 2-4 record are not a look for how the season will be coming out. The last game for the Avalanche did end up being a win over the Dallas Stars by a score of 4-2.

The Colorado Avalanche ended up picking up a good addition in net in Darcy Kuemper. However, to be seen as a good addition Kuemper will have to stay healthy in the season. Last year with Arizona Kuemper went 10-11-3 on the year while saving 90.7% of the shots and allowing 2.56 goals per game.

Coming to the game here the Chicago team will be testing out a couple of goalies to see which one deserves more time in the net. Look for Lankinen to win out as he is younger and has a good skill set, but also the Blackhawks have a good offense. Colorado looked sloppy in the preseason and the adjustments made will have to come into being for Colorado to return to the form like last year. Final Score Prediction, Chicago Blackhawks win 3-2.
