Kapo Kahkonen continued to struggle in the net for San Jose posting a .833 save percentage after allowing three goals on 18 shots in just over 57 minutes of ice time.

Much of the San Jose struggles thus far this season is due to a lackluster offense averaging only 1.5 goals on 32 shots per game as a team. Luke Kunin leads the San Jose offense with two points to go along with one goal and Mario Ferraro leads the team with two assists.

Carolina was dominant in their first game of the season and  will continue that trend Friday night against a struggling San Jose team.
