Carolina Hurricanes at New York Rangers 3/21/23 - NHL Picks & Predictions

This Tuesday, the Carolina Hurricanes will head to Madison Square Garden to take on the New York Rangers. The Carolina Hurricanes will enter this game against the New York Rangers following a very close overtime win against the Philadelphia Flyers this past Saturday which resulted in a final score of 5-4. The win against the Flyers is the Hurricanes first win since last Tuesday.

The Carolina Hurricanes currently sit as one of the NHL’s top favorites to win the Stanley Cup this season which is very understandable considering how good they really are. The Hurricanes currently sit 1st in the Metropolitan Division and 2nd in the entire league as they hold an overall record of 45-15-8 for 98 points through 68 games played. It will be interesting to see how the Hurricanes do in this game against the Rangers as if they both win the first round, they’ll be facing off against each other.

The New York Rangers will enter this game against the Carolina Hurricanes as one of, if not the very best team in the NHL lately as they have not only been winning, but they’ve been beating their opponents by large margins with every single game. The Rangers have now won four games in a row and have outscored their opponents 22-5 in that span. The Rangers are on a completely different level than any other team in the league right now.

When it comes to asking who the best player in the Rangers lineup is, there is just too many to pick from. From Panarin, Zibanejad, Kane, Shesterkin, Kane, or Tarasenko, this Rangers team is juiced to the gills when it comes to skill and firepower. Artemi Panarin leads the Rangers in points this season as he currently has 23 goals, 57 assists, and 80 points in only 70 games played.

This game will be nothing short of a mismatch, the Hurricanes may sit in a better spot in the standings, but the Rangers have been the hottest team in the league as they’re games aren’t even remotely close. Take the Rangers in this one as they have won four straight, while the Hurricanes are coming off of a lucky win against one of the NHL’s worst. Final Score Prediction, New York Rangers win 4-1.
