The Capitals are a team that has bounced all over the place this season. The Capitals started off really strong against the Blues this year, but now the Capitals are a team that has had some problems in getting the goals and the wins locked down. Sadly for the Capitals a lot of the problems the Capitals have comes from the lack of defense, which is evident when they allowed 6 goals in the last game to the Predators.
T.J. Oshie has been able to come into the game so far with the goal scoring lead for the Capitals. Oshie has managed to get a total of 2 goals on the year. John Carlson has ended up getting a total of 4 assist on the year, but has ended up getting a total of 5 points on the season.
Dallas is coming into the game with some question marks on defense. The Stars have been able to play decent on the year, but the Stars have allowed quite a few games to slip away with some of the poorer playing that Bishop has had in the net. What does not really help the Stars out is the fact that the offense has not been able to pull out some of the bigger offensive showings on the year.
Roope Hintz is the player who has been able to lead the Stars in the scoring, not Seguin or Benn like would be expected. Hintz has managed to get a total of 4 goals on the year with 4 points on the season. Mattias Janmark is the player who has been able to lead the team in assist with 2 on the year.
