The Capitals have been one team that looks like they want to prove a point this year. However, after getting off to a really hot start on the year the Capitals have seemingly cooled off quite a bit. The Capitals in the last game out allowed the Dallas Stars to score 4 goals against them, but what is even worse is the Capitals offense, which has been a great powerhouse could only keep pace for 3 goals.
T.J. Oshie is the leading scorer for the Capitals when it comes to getting the puck in the back of the net. Oshie has managed to get a total of 2 goals on the year and has an assist go along with it. One of his goals was a power play goal. The assist leader for the Capitals is Lars Eller and he has managed to get a total of 3 assist on the year.
The Predators get to wrap up their home stand against the Capitals. The Predators have already posted a 2-1 record at home this year and look to improve on that as the Capitals who were red hot at first have started to struggle. The problem is really becoming a point for the Capitals, but with the way the Predators were able to crush the Sharks in their last outing the Predators have a great chance to lock down a good win here.

Matt Duchene is the leader for the Predators when it comes to getting the points this year and the assist as he has managed to get 5 total assist and points.
