The Capitals managed to bounce back in the second game of the road trip here as they were able to beat the Sharks in San Jose by a score of 5-1. That was after the Capitals offense was left out in the dark against the Blue Jackets. Now, the Capitals will be facing the Kings in this game and that is going to make a difference for the defense of the Capitals as the Kings seem to have forgotten how to score.

The Capitals on the year have been able to rely on Alex Ovechkin on the scoring as he has managed to get a total of 66 points and 39 goals. When it comes to passing the puck around the Capitals have been able to rely on Nicklas Backstrom with 42 assist. The Kings have been horrible on the season. The Kings have started off with a decent defense on the year and that was with Quick getting injured early on. However, the Kings are not playing good on the offensive side of the puck and when that is happening the Kings defense is getting pressured a ton and showing cracks on the season.

The Kings offense has been led by Anze Kopitar who has a total of 43 points on the year. Kopitar has managed to get a total of 17 goals on the year so far as well. When it comes to the assist side of the puck the Kings have relied on Drew Doughty who has ended up getting a total of 27 assist.
