Capitals at Hurricanes 4/22/19 - NHL Picks & Predictions

The Capitals were able to bring home a win in their last game to pull ahead in the series. However, the Capitals are now on the road to face the Hurricanes and that could be a major challenge for the Capitals in this game as they were not able to really do well in Carolina the last time they traveled to Carolina. What else is not going to help the Capitals out as they are heading into this game is the fact that they are going to be playing without TJ Oshie as he injured his collar bone and is done for the season. With the Hurricanes they have to win this game or they are going to be enjoying the playoffs like the fans from home. The last game saw the Hurricanes play horrible defensively by giving up 6 goals. What is really bad Petr Mzarek who had been playing so well in the playoffs faced a total of 28 shots and only turned away 22 of those shots for only a 78.6% save percentage on the day.

Braden Holtby was able to face a decent attack from the Hurricanes. However, he only had to face a total of 30 shots in the game and that was definitely impressive for Holtby, but what was even better was the fact that he was not beaten at all on the night and that really helped to guide the Capitals to the win.
