Canucks vs. Golden Knights 8/30/20 - NHL Picks & Predictions

Vegas was able to get a commanding 2-1 series lead in the last game. The Golden Knights were able to put in a total of 3 goals in the game and actually pitched a shutout in the game. In the game the Golden Knights started off slow and the goals actually came as a little bit of a surprise to the Golden Knights. So a faster start would definitely help alleviate a lot of the stress for the Vegas team.

In the game the Vegas team ended up getting a total of 34 shots. Vegas managed to deliver a total of 39 hits. When it came to the power play the Golden Knights converted on 1 try out of 4.  Winning the faceoffs Vegas did at a clip of 42.4% of the time.

Vancouver has to figure out how to get the puck past the Golden Knights defense. Even on extended power plays and with the goalie out of the net the Canucks could not pull it off. Now, Vancouver has to do it or they could find themselves out of the playoffs. On the good side, the Canucks defense did play really well considering how they were doing before against a heavily loaded Vegas offense.

For their part the Canucks offense finished the night off with a total of 31 shots in the game. Vancouver only managed to get 30 hits in the game. The Canucks failed to convert on any of their 5 power play chances. The Canucks were better on the draw winning 57.6% of the time.
