Vancouver would like to come back from the season they had last year and build upon what type of success they had on the year. The problem is the Canucks are a team that is already coming into the game here with Brock Boeser who was one of the key players last year is coming back from an injury in the game. The Canucks in the last 5 preseason games were definitely a struggle for the team as they only won 2 out of the 5 games.

Last season the Canucks relied on Elias Patterson who put in a total of 66 point. He ended up leading the team in the goals and assist lead as well with 28 goals and 38 assist on the year last season.

The Oilers are a team that has to look better and rely on the play of Connor McDavid to help guide the team. The Oilers started off really hot last year, but then quickly fell back to the point of not being able to do much in the way they were playing the game.

Connor McDavid was the leading player for the points total for the Oilers last year. He ended up putting in a total of 116 points and led the team overall with 75 assist on the year. The goal leader for the Oilers was actually Leon Draisaitl who put in a total of 50 goals last year.

The Oilers are playing at home and while the team does have quite a bit of talent on the roster it will have to come together and the team has to figure out how to play defense. In this game with Boeser coming back from injury it could be pushing it for the team to be considered a threat in the game and that will make the difference in this game as the Oilers are able to bring home a close win in this game. Final Score Prediction, Edmonton Oilers win 3-2.
