Bruins at Hurricanes 5/14/19 - NHL Playoffs Picks & Predictions

The Boston Bruins have controlled the series so far against the Hurricanes. The problem is the Hurricanes have not been able to get their offense going and that has been an issue that the Hurricanes have had on the year so far when playing on the road. In this game, though, the Bruins are going to have a challenge on their hands as the Hurricanes will be playing at home. Something else that could be an issue for the Hurricanes is the health of Mrazek who was injured in the last series and missed the last couple of games, so it will be interesting to see if the Hurricanes pull Mrazek in this game. The last game saw Tukka Rask in net for the Bruins. Rask was able to play a great game and only allowed a total of 3 goals in the game and that was impressive since he faced a total of 23 shots in the game. He did end up stopping 5 shorthanded shots in the game and 2 power play shots as well.

With the Hurricanes they really have to figure out how to protect the net better. Mrazek was in net and he really struggled as he allowed a total 6 Bruins goals. Mrazek is the player who only faced a total of 25 shots and was not really successful in protecting the net and it could be coming from the injury he sustained in the last series.
