Bruins at Blues 6/1/19 - NHL Playoffs Picks & Predictions

The Bruins and the Blues have had a thrilling series so far as the series is tied 1-1 heading back to Saint Louis. The Blues, though, had to battle back in the game and ended up wining the game in overtime. Now, the Bruins are a team that has to really perform on the road, which if the earlier games this playoff run has shown has been difficult for the Bruins as they did have some problems in Columbus.

The Blues, though, are coming in with a little bit of a high as they were able to secure their first Stanley Cup win in quite a while and brought the series back to a best of 5 now. At home this playoff season the Blues have been a fairly strong team, but now the Blues have a couple of players that are listed as day-to-day on the injury report and that could cause them to have some extra pressure to overcome. The Bruins in the last game were able to rely on Tukka Rask in net. While Rask did give up the winning goal in overtime, off of a delayed penalty call, Rask did have a decent game overall. Rask was under almost constant pressure as he faced a total of 37 shots in the game and saved all of them but 3, which led to a 91.9% of the shots being saved.

Jordan Binnington definitely had a lighter night in the goal compared to the opening game of the series. However, Binnington was still not as good as Rask in the game as he saved only 91.3% of the shots he faced. Binnington was shot at 23 times and saved all but 2 of the shots.
