The Blues are heading into the game here after losing to Montreal in their last game. While that is not really a major concern as the Canadiens have been able to play decent at times. The amount of goals that the Blues allowed in the game will start to become an issue as the defense has not really been that strong compared to the run they made last year from last to first.
David Perron is the player who has been able to lead the Blues in the goal scoring with 3 goals. Ryan O’Reilly has managed to lead the Blues overall in points with 7 of them and 6 of those points have come in the assist this year.
For the Islanders they were starting to worry about trying to figure out how to win again. The team had lost 2 games straight when the Panthers came to town. The game against the Panthers was a fair game, but it was game that would be back and forth between the two teams as they were both going to have to figure out how to win. Thankfully for the Islanders they were able to keep the game close before finally winning the game in the shootout.
Anthony Beauvillier is the leading goal scorer for the Islanders and overall point leader. He has managed to get 2 goals on the year with 4 points total. Leo Komarov has been able to get a total of 3 assist in the game and has helped the Islanders out quite a bit.
