The St. Louis Blues look to bounce back from a loss when they visit the Philadelphia Flyers on Monday. The Blues were defeated by the New York Islanders 4-3 on Saturday after allowing three third period goals to New York. Brayden Schenn, Zach Sanford and Ryan O’Reilly each scored in the loss for St. Louis.
Philadelphia lost its sixth straight on Saturday falling to the Calgary Flames 3-2 in overtime. Travis Sanheim and Travis Konecny each scored for the Flyers in the loss. The Flyers are in last place in the Metropolitan division and entered Saturday’s game tied with Ottawa and Los Angeles with the fewest points in the NHL.
Ryan O’Reilly leads the Blues in goals scored with 16, in assists with 22 and points scored with 38. Goalie Jake Allen is 14-13-4 with a goals against average of 3.07and save percentage of .898. St. Louis is 21st in goals scored per game at 2.82 and 24th in goals against at 3.28.
Sean Couturier leads the Flyers in goals scored with 15. Claude Giroux leads the Flyers in assists with 33 and points with 46. Goalie Michal Neuvirth is 1-4-1 and has a goal’s against average of 4.27 and .859 save percentage. Philadelphia is 24th in goals scored at 2.78 and 30th in goals against at 3.61.
