The Blue Jackets have to break their losing streak and do it soon if they want to hold onto the final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference. However, the road is not a place that the Blue Jackets want to be when they are in the middle of a losing streak like they are on now. This season the Blue Jackets have went 20-13-2 on the road, which is better than their home record, but for some reason the Blue Jackets this year have always been able to break the losing streaks at home easier than on the road.

The Blue Jackets are coming into this game with Artemi Panarin still being the team leader with 76 points on the year. He also leads the Blue Jackets in assist with 51 of them. The Blue Jackets have ended up getting a total of 38 goals on the year from Cam Atkinson. The Oilers did not really make any moves and are trying to rely on the talent they have on the roster to help them make up the 7 point difference they have between them and the Coyotes for the final playoff spot. However, this late in the season it could be a little too much of a distance for the Oilers to be able to make up and that could be a problem for the Oilers who have relied on McDavid most of the season and have not really done much to provide him with the support he needs to have.

Connor McDavid is the leading scorer for the Oilers as he has managed to get a total of 105 points on the year. He has managed to get the team lead in assist as well with 69 assist on the season. Leon Draisaitl is the leader when it comes to finding the back of the net with 43 goals on the year.
