The West qualifying game here is going to pit the Blackhawks against the Oilers. The teams are actually coming in fairly evenly matched to each other considering the age difference between the star players. Now, the restart may actually favor the Blackhawks, though, who have been together longer as a team and Edmonton has been a slow starting team in the past.

Patrick Kane is the leader for the Blackhawks offense with a total of 84 points. He did manage to get 33 goals and 51 assist. The points leader for Edmonton is Leon Draisaitl who put in 110 points. Draisaitl did get 67 assist and 43 goals for the Oilers.

The Blackhawks will most likely send out Corey Crawford to the net. Crawford during the regular season put up a 16-20-3 record. During the year Crawford allowed 2.77 goals a game, but saved 91.7% of the shots.

The Oilers are not settled on the goalie yet to start the game. However, the better goalie during the regular season for Edmonton was Mikko Koskinen. During the regular season he posted an 18-13-3 record with 2.75 goals allowed, but did have a save percentage of 91.7% on the year.

For the Blackkhawks it is very important for them to get off to a quick start. The Blackhawks if they are unable to get off quickly could slip back into their old habits of losing or trying to make up ground from behind and that can make it difficult for the Blackhawks. Look for Edmonton to play good in this game, but still have some rust that can really hurt the Oilers chances of winning the game here, but Chicago is inconsistent and the old habits show up again. Final Score Prediction, Edmonton Oilers win 2-1.
