Avalanche at Sharks 4/26/19 - NHL Playoffs Picks & Predictions

The Avalanche have had plenty of time off recently as they were able to win their series rather quickly. However, the Avalanche are now going to have to face the Sharks and play the first couple of games of the series in San Jose, which could be difficult for the Avalanche to win the game. The good news for the Avs is they are well rested compared to the Sharks team who has went to overtime several times, but also had to go to a game 7 before they could clinch the series.

Nathan MacKinnon was able to come into the game here as the leader for the Avalanche when it comes to scoring. He has managed to get a total of 99 points overall with 41 goals and 58 assist. The Sharks managed to scrape by the Golden Knights, but it was a thrilling series and the Sharks can only hope the day off was enough for the team to recover from the marathon games they have been playing lately. The Sharks do have one thing going for them and that is the fact they are coming into this game red hot as a team and that will help them out in getting to secure a win and potentially lock it down to the point they are able to win 3 straight after being on the cusp of elimination.

Brent Burns is the leader for the Sharks with points at 83 points overall, but also assist with 67on the year. Joe Pavelski has managed to get 38 goals in the regular season, but is listed as day-to-day on the injury report after the late hit in the 3rd period by the Golden Knights.

The Avalanche have had time off to rest, but that could make them a little bit rusty. The Sharks are coming in red hot and even after the marathon games will have a good chance of picking up quite a bit of momentum at home to help them out. Not to mention, the Avalanche are nowhere near the level of play of the Golden Knights and that will allow the Sharks to rest some in the game. Final Score Prediction, San Jose Sharks win 3-1.
