Anaheim Ducks at Calgary Flames 10/18/21 - NHL Picks & Predictions

The Ducks are coming to the game here after getting handed a loss to the Wild. The loss was a close battle and ended up with a final score of 2-1. The low score definitely was more along the lines of what the Ducks have done offensively in the past.

In the loss the Ducks were able to get a total of 29 shots, but the lack of offense led to the defense facing 43 shots. The Ducks ended up getting 21 hits, but had a total of 25 minutes in the penalty box.  The Ducks did win the faceoff battle with 35 faceoff wins, but ended up losing 30 faceoffs. 

Calgary for their part are coming here after losing in their last game. The game was a 5-2 embarrassing loss to the Oilers. The loss was the first of the year for the Flames and definitely was not something that was unexpected.

In the losing effort the Flames offense was the dominant force with 47 shots, but the defense only faced 33 shots and gave up 5 goals. The Flames did have a total of 27 hits in the game, but had a total of 10 penalty minutes. Calgary ended up winning a total of 34 faceoffs, but ended up losing 35 of the faceoffs.
