2020 Ottawa Senators Recap - NHL Picks & Predictions

The Senators had their rebuilding season cut short by the coronavirus pandemic. Now, the Senators are one of the few teams that was left out of the playoffs when the season starts back up. However, one thing that the Ottawa team does have going for them is the fact that they started to look dramatically improved on how they started the year out.

When it comes to the scoring the Senators did not really rely on any single player for offense. Brady Tkachuk with a total of 44 points on the year. Jean-Gabriel Pageau ended up getting the goal lead with 24 for Ottawa. Thomas Chabot has managed to get a total of 33 assist on the season.

Protecting the net has mainly been the job of Craig Anderson who played in 34 games. Anderson posted an 11-17-2 record. He allowed 3.25 goals a game, but saved 90.2% of the shots. Marcus Hogberg played in  total of 24 games and Anders Nilsson ended up playing in a total of 20 games. Those two combined to get a 14-17-10 record.

With Ottawa the team was starting to bounce back nicely after their losses they had earlier in the year. Now, the Senators have to start to bounce back after their off season to continue to win their games. Look for the Ottawa team to continue to build off of their late season success to start to pull out the winning season next year.
