2020 New York Rangers Recap - NHL Picks & Predictions

The Rangers are one team that would like to show that the team is playing a lot better than expected. However, the Rangers are one team that made the playoffs by the skin of their teeth. Look for the Rangers, though, to relly play good in the game as they did manage to finish better than some of the other teams that made the revamped playoffs.

With New York they were led in the points scoring by Artemi Panarin who put in a total of 95 points on the year. Panarin led in the assist department with a total of 63 assist on the year. The goal scoring leader for the Rangers is Mika Zibanejad with 41 goals.

When it comes to protecting the net the Rangers relied mainly on 2 goalies. They relied heavily on Alxandar Georgiev who played in 34 games. Georgiev ended up posting a 17-14-2 record with 3.04 goals a game allowed. Georgiev managed to save 91% of the shots. The other goalie the Rangers had in net quite a bit was Henrik Lundqvist who played in 30 games. Lundqvist posted a 10-12-3 record and allowed 3.16 goals a game, but saved 90.5% of the shots.

With the Rangers they do have a chance to improve on the year.  However, one thing that the Rangers may have trouble with is they have had quite a bit of time off and that will definitely make it harder for the Rangers, a very slow starting team, to get motivated and start to bring home the wins, but also for the Rangers the offense is definitely not up to the same level they were playing at.
