The Florida Panthers were able to come into the season with a lot of expectations and to a certain point the Panthers ended up getting to that level. The Panthers were one of the teams that were able to make the playoffs tournament and really looked impressive with how the Panthers were able to get the winning season put together.

Offensively the Panthers did not really have to rely on any single player to lead the team. Yes, Jonathan Huberdeau did end up leading the Panthers with 78 points and 55 assist, he was not the only leader. The goal leader for the Panthers was Mike Hoffman who ended up getting 29 goals. What is interesting is the Panthers were able to get Aleksander Barkov in the game as well and while he did not lead in any category he did get 62 points total.

With the Panthers the team did more of a traditional style of goal keeping with one player getting the lion share of the starts. That player was Sergei Bobrovsky who ended up playing in 50 games. He did get a decent 23-19-6 record, but allowed 3.23 goals a game and saved only 90% of the shots that were sent towards him.

The relief goalies for the Panthers combined for a total of 26 games. The goalies did end up posting a 12-7-2 record, which could lead to some controversy in the future between the goalies. However, one thing that the Panthers do know if they need to find a goalie that can contain the opponents offense’s better because if Bobrovsky had managed to keep the opponents in check the Panthers may have been closer to first instead of being in the middle of the Atlantic Division.
