The Blue Jackets were one team in the NHL that managed to make the playoffs. However, the Blue Jackets were one team that was already on the cusp of making the playoffs before the coronavirus pause. Now, the Blue Jackets are one team that may be considered for the Stanley Cup, but only if the team starts off like they were playing towards the end of the season.

The leading goal scorer for the Blue Jackets was Pierre-Luc Dubois who ended up putting in a total of 49 points on the year. The goal leader for the Blue Jackets has been Oliver Bjorkstrand who ended up getting a total of 21 goals. When it comes to passing the puck the Blue Jackets relied on Pierre-Luc Dubois to get the passing done with 31 assist.

Manning the net for the Blue Jackets has been split between two goalies and it was mainly from injuries. The leader in net for the Blue Jackets was Joonas Korpisalo with 37 games played, but posted a 19-12-5 record. When it comes to goals allowed he only allowed 2.60 goals a game, but saved 91.1% of the shots sent towards him. His backup was Elvis Merzlikins who played in 33 games and posted a 13-9-8 record. Merzlikins allowed only 2.35 goals a game while saving 92.3% of the shots sent towards him.

The Blue Jackets are one team that has looked good at times this year when the offense shows up. The downside is the defense is carrying the Blue Jackets as the offense has been very lacking on the year so far. Look for the Blue Jackets to start off slowly, but start to build up some momentum as the playoffs go on, but only if the Blue Jackets can survive the early games.
