Week 6 – NFL Monday Prop Bets – 10/10/22

Monday Night Football is in Los Angeles this week for another AFC West battle, this time between the Broncos and Chargers. Despite the Broncos inability to score, some stats have been piling up in the Denver passing game, and that’s where will focus this week. Read on below for those picks.

We had another 1-1 Monday in Week 5 as Travis Kelce hit paydirt four times but ended up with just 25 yards. Let's try to break that streak this week.

NFL Week 6 Player Props for Broncos at Chargers — 10/17/22

Russell Wilson, QB, Broncos, OVER 226.5 passing yards (-115)

Courtland Sutton, WR, Broncos, OVER 67.5 receiving yards (-115)

Russell Wilson

For as bad as Wilson has looked at times this season, he’s still thrown for 1,254 yards. He’s had 237-plus passing yards in three of the five games played. Believe it or not, in the awful 12-9 Thursday night game, Wilson completed 21 passes for 274. He threw 39 times to get there, but passing efficiency is not our concern.

He faces a Chargers defense this week that has not been especially good against the pass. They rank inside the bottom half of the league with 1,189 yards allowed this season, and the 10 passing touchdowns they've allowed is the sixth most. As long as Wilson is able to go Monday, which he is expected to, 227-plus passing yards isn’t unreasonable to expect.

Pick: Russell Wilson OVER 226.5 passing yards

Courtland Sutton

Sutton appears to be the receiver Wilson trusts most with this new team. Through five games, he has 42 targets, 17 more than No. 2 wideout Jerry Jeudy. Sutton has averaged 14.4 yards a catch for 417 receiving yards total. Like most of the Broncos offense, all those yards haven’t amounted to points as Sutton has just one touchdown.

Sutton has only been under 68 receiving yards once this season, when he caught 5-of-7 targets for 52 yards at Las Vegas in Week 4. As noted above, the Chargers pass defense is average at best, so the Wilson-to-Sutton connection shouldn’t face much resistance.

Pick: Courtland Sutton OVER 67.5 receiving yards
