The NFL season is getting ready to kick off and have the season start in September. Still, with the schedule out and the early odds out for the first week it is time to check out the games.

Thursday September 8

Bills at Rams, LAR -1 ; O/U 52

The Rams are playing good last year, but the Bills are very streaky and slow starting.

Sunday September 11

Saints at Falcons, NO -3.5 ; O/U 42.5

The Saints could be the team to beat in the division and this could be a good testing game.

49ers at Bears, SF -6.5 ; O/U 42

The Bears are in a rebuilding phase for another season and still lacking a good quarterback.

Steelers at Bengals, CIN -6.5 ; O/U 44.5

The rivalry match to start the season will be a great game and a sure test for the Bengals, but the Steelers quarterback situation is in limbo.

Eagles at Lions, PHI -4 ; O/U 46.5

Did the Lions make any off season moves that will make the Lions competitive? That is a good question that can be answered here.

Patriots at Dolphins, MIA -3 ; O/U 45

The Patriots are coming here as the underdog and that has to be new for them, but the Dolphins hav retooled quite a bit.

Ravens at Jets, BAL -4.5 ; O/U 45

The Jets struggled last year and did not make much in the way of improvements.

Jaguars at Commanders, WAS -3.5 ; O/U 44

The Jaguars, well, what can we say other than Jacksonville will just struggle to top their win total from last year.

Browns at Panthers, CLE -4.5 ; O/U 43.5

Cleveland has had a good team the past couple of years, but now the question for Browns fans is if the Browns will blow it again.

Colts at Texans, IND -8 ; O/U 44

The Texans are a team that has been lost the past couple of years and that will continue here.

Giants at Titans, TEN -6.5 ; O/U 44

The Giants are one team that has to improve quite a bit to be seen as a threat and in this case have not improved enough this early in the season.

Packers at Vikings, GB -1.5 ; O/U 49

The black and blue division starts off with a great game here and who wins will depend on which team is able to stop the other teams quarterback.

Chiefs at Cardinals, KC -3 ; O/U 53

The Cardinals are a good team and could get a morale boosting win in this game.

Raiders at Chargers, LAC -4 ; O/U 51.5

The Raiders are one team that will have some issues in the game here as the Chargers have made some good improvements.

Buccaneers at Cowboys, TB -2 ; O/U 52

The on again and off again Tom Brady saga can provide a lot of distractions in this game here.

Monday, September 12

Broncos at Seahawks, DEN -4 ; O/U 41

The game here is one that should be a battle, but neither team is showcasing a good offense and that will make a good defensive game here.

The game of the week is a division rivalry game. That game is the Cincinnati Bengals playing host to the Steelers. The game usually takes place later in the season for the first meeting, but this year the rivalry matchup is the first week and should be a great game.
