Two Team Parlay for Tonight - Monday 10/12/20

NFL Monday Night Football and a Major League Baseball Championship Series highlight this two-team parlay. The Los Angeles Chargers visit Mercedes-Benz Superdome to play the New Orleans Saints on Monday Night Football and the Atlanta Braves play the Los Angeles Dodgers in Game 1 of their National League Championship Series, which makes for an interesting two-team parlay combo.

Los Angeles Chargers at New Orleans Saints: NO -8; Total 50

The Los Angeles Chargers and rookie quarterback Justin Herbert visit the New Orleans Saints on Monday Night Football. The Charges are off to a poor start at 0-4 while the Saints are 2-2.  The Chargers have been decimated early this season with injuries as Derwin James, Melvin Ingram and Chris Harris have all been lost for the season on defense and three starters from the offensive line as well as running back Austin Ekeler will miss this game. Life is not much better on the other side of the field as the Saints also have several key starters questionable for this game. Wide Receiver Michael Thomas is the biggest name of that group but cornerback Marshon Lattimore is also questionable and could make a big difference on defense for New Orleans. When all the dust settles with the injuries, New Orleans still has the better team with quarterback Drew Brees and running back Alvin Kamara leading the offense. Hebert has played well under center for the Chargers but is prone to rookie mistakes and the Saints defense will pressure the Chargers signal-caller from the first play forward. Lay the points here and take the home chalk.

1st Part of NFL Parlay: New Orleans Saints -8

Atlanta Braves vs Los Angeles Dodgers; LAD -150; O/U 8.5

The Atlanta Braves play the Los Angeles Dodgers in Game 1 of their National League Championship Series on Monday. Los Angeles has been a dominating figure all season long finishing 43-17 which was the best in baseball and the Dodgers have continued that into the postseason going 5-0. However, Atlanta is also 5-0 in the postseason and will be no easy pushover for the Dodgers. Atlanta will start left-hander Max Fried on the mound. During the postseason Fried is 0-0 with an ERA of 3.27. The left-handers most recent outing in the postseason was a difficult one when he allowed four runs on six hits in just four Innings but did not take part in the decision. Dodgers starter Walker Buehler is 0-0 with an ERA of 3.38 during the postseason. A blister on his pitching hand has not allowed Buehler to pitch more than four innings in any one start since September 2nd. This game will take place at Globe Life Field in Arlington, Texas and with a retractable roof the weather will not have an effect on this game. The play here is the run-line for Los Angeles. The Dodgers have covered the run line an exceptional 61.5% of the time this season. The Dodgers scored the most runs of any team during the regular season and had the best team ERA. Give up 1.5 runs and take the Dodgers.
