Two Team Football Parlay - Thursday 10/29/20

Last Updated: 10/28/2020 at 12:53 PM ET

Our two-team parlay for Thursday includes an NFL Thursday Night Football clash and a college football conference showdown. Two NFC South rivals meet when the Atlanta Falcons visit the Carolina Panthers and two members of the Sun Belt Conference faceoff win the South Alabama Jaguars visit the Georgia Southern Eagles.

Atlanta Falcons at Carolina Panthers: CAR -2.5; Total 49.5

Although it is unlikely, the Carolina Panthers may have their top offensive weapon Christian McCaffrey back on Thursday against Atlanta. The Panthers are in dire need of McCaffrey's talents as the running game has dropped off the last two weeks. Carolina has rushed for a combined 149 yards in its last two games with 58 of those by quarterback Teddy Bridgewater while scrambling. The defense for Atlanta has improved over the last three games allowing just 23 points in each of the three. The weather is predicted to be poor in Charlotte on Thursday and that should make both teams run the ball more often then pass. Therefore, the play here is UNDER. The UNDER has cashed in three of the last four between the two NFC South rivals and the two are a combined 3-6-1 O/U/P in the last ten. The two are scoring a combined 49.7 points per game which is right on the O/U total but the weather will play a big role. Take the UNDER on a sloopy, wet field in Charlotte.

1st Part of NFL/CFB Parlay: under 49.5

South Alabama Jaguars at Georgia Southern Eagles: GASO -5.5; Total 51

South Alabama is undefeated in Sun Belt play, but Georgia Southern, despite being 1-2 straight up and against the spread against opponents in the conference, is the favorite in this matchup. South Alabama has won each of its last two defeating Texas State and UL-Monroe and covered both as the favorite. However, in the three games the Jaguars have won they have faced opponents that are a combined 2-16 SU, while losing outright to Tulane and UAB. Georgia Southern lost its most recent outing 28-14 to Coastal Carolina. The Eagles were tied with the Chanticleers midway through the final quarter but were outscored 14-0 down the stretch. The other loss for Georgia Southern this season was a 20-18 setback to Louisiana as an 11-point underdog. Georgia Southern has a dominating running attack and in the loss to Coastal Carolina was out rushed for the first time since November of last year. The Eagles average 248.8 yards on the ground per game and in the two losses suffered by South Alabama this season the Jaguars gave up a combined 396 yards on the ground. South Alabama will also be playing on the road for the first time  since September 3. Lay the points and take the home chalk.

2nd Part of NFL/CFB Parlay: Georgia Southern Eagles -5.5
