The Philadelphia Eagles open up their 2019 Preseason Week 1 game at home with the Tennessee Titans in town. The Eagles have one of the best rosters on paper heading into the season but will that turn over to on the field success. Philadelphia is led by head coach Doug Pederson. This season will be Pederson's 4th season with the Eagles. Pederson carries a 29-19 record in Philadelphia.

Carson Wentz returns as a health starter but does not have his Super Bowl winning backup quarterback this season as Nick Foles will be the Jaguars starter. Nate Sudfeld will fill the role as the 2nd string QB and will get plenty of preseason work. Sudfeld has been reported to look much more comfortable heading into this game as he started off with accuracy issues in training camp.
The Tennessee Titans look to have a better season as they missed the playoffs last season. The Titans finished with a 9-7 and 3rd in the AFC South. Running back Derrick Henry will be back to 100% before the regular season but do not plan on seeing him to often during the preseason.

Mike Vrabel returns for his 2nd season as the head coach of the Titans. Vrabel is dealing with a lot of injuries through camp and hopes to have a healthy team before the season. The Titans may be in for a tough season for Tennessee as their win total as been set at just 8 by Vegas. The Titans bring in a new offensive coordinator which makes this Marcus Mariota's fifth play caller since being drafted.

The first two weeks of preseason football come down to position battles and motivation. The Eagles have more depth than the Titans and a lot of key positions will be fighting to a roster spot. Also note that the Eagles will be ready to go in front of their home crowd. The Eagles have the edge and are the team to back in this game. Final Score Prediction, Philadelphia Eagles win and cover ATS 20-13.
