Titans at Dolphins 9/9/18 - NFL Picks & Predictions

On Sunday September 9 the Tennessee Titans visit Hard Rock Stadium to play the Miami Dolphins in a Week 1 NFL showdown.

Tennessee enters the season looking to reach the playoffs for the second straight season. Many of the same skill players return from last season including quarterback Marcus Mariota and running back Derrick Henry. The Titans offense must mix it up between Henry on the ground and Davis and Walker through the air. Dean Pees was hired as the defensive coordinator with the hopes of improving that side of the ball for the Titans.

Miami won just six games last season, but played the entire regular season without starting quarterback Ryan Tannehill. The Dolphins signal caller is back and has a completely new receiving corps led by veteran Danny Amendola. Defensively, the Dolphins have Raekwon McMillan back at linebacker following an injury, while Robert Quinn adds strength to the line and Minkah Fitzpatrick gives the secondary a talented young hitter. Marcus Mariota is coming off a preseason in which he threw for just 165 yards, two touchdowns and one interception. Derrick Henry rushed for just 30 yards but last season rushed for 744 yards and 5 TDs. Expect to see Taywan Taylor and Corey Davis as wide receivers with Delaine Walker at tight end.

Ryan Tannehill threw for 247 yards and one touchdown in limited action during the preseason. Veteran Frank Gore will likely start in the offensive backfield, but expect to see Kenyan Drake early and often. The wide receivers will be Danny Amendola, Kenny Stills and Devante Parker.
