On Sunday, the Houston Texans visit the Tennessee Titans at Nissan Stadium in Nashville, Tennessee in a Week 2 AFC South showdown. Houston lost its opening game of the season 27-20 to the New England Patriots. Deshaun Watson threw for 176 yards, one touchdown and one interception in the loss. Defensive end Christian Covington hurt his thigh during the first quarter and is questionable for Sunday’s game

The Tennessee Titans lost the opening game of the season 27-20 to the Miami Dolphins. Mother Nature took charge of the game as thunder and lightning caused the game to be delayed and it took seven hours and eight minutes to be completed. Marcus Mariota threw a pair of interceptions during the third quarter and then was taken out with an injury to his right elbow. Mariota is questionable for the game. The Titans lost tight end Delanie Walker for the season with an injury to his right leg. Deshaun Watson leads the Texans with 176 yards passing, one touchdown and one interception. Running back Lamar Miller is the leading rusher with 98 yards. Deandre Hopkins is the leading receiver with 78 yards. Kareem Jackson leads the Texans in tackles with eight, while, D.J. Reader is the sacks leader with 2.0.

Backup quarterback Blaine Gabbert leads the Titans with 117 yards and one interception, while Marcus Mariota finished with 103 yards and two interceptions. Dion Lewis is the leading rusher with 75 yards and one touchdown, while Corey Davis is the leading receiver with 62 yards. Wesley Woodward leads the defense in tackles with 12, while Kamalei Correa is the sacks leader with 1.0.

Both teams did not play well in Week 1 with both losing by the exact same score of 27-20. However, the Titans lost one of Marcus Mariota’s top receivers in tight end Delanie Walker and Mariota is also slightly injured and questionable for the game. Houston on the other hand, had an opportunity to tie the Patriots late. The Texans defense was obviously rusty including J.J. Watt but should turn things around in Week 2. Final Score Prediction, Houston Texans win and cover ATS 27-17.
