Texans at Chiefs 1/12/20 - NFL Picks & Predictions

A Sunday NFL playoff doubleheader will kick off with a battle between the Houston Texans and the Kansas City Chiefs from Arrowhead Stadium. The fourth-seeded Texans won ten games during the regular season and won the AFC South Division by a game over Tennessee. On Saturday, Houston rallied from a 16-point deficit to score a 22-19 overtime victory versus Buffalo.

Houston QB Deshaun Watson completed 20 of his 25 passing attempts and scored two touchdowns. Watson set up the game-winning field goal by escaping a sure sack and finding Taiwan Jones on a 34-yard pass down to the ten-yard line.

The Kansas City Chiefs finished the season on a six-game winning streak and ran away with the AFC West Division title. Head coach Andy Reid’s offense ranked fifth in the league in passing yards (281.1 ypg) and points 28.2 (ppg). Patrick Mahomes threw for 4,031 yards and 26 touchdowns, while TE Travis Kelce contributed 97 receptions for 1,227 yards and five scores.

Last time out, Kansas City defeated visiting Los Angeles by a 31-21 final score to leapfrog New England and clinch the number two seed in the AFC. Damien Williams rushed for 124 yards and two touchdowns for the Chiefs.

Houston WR Will Fuller (groin) was a late scratch in the Wild Card round, but expects to play on Sunday. The Texans have the weapons on offense to make this a game, but the Chiefs will find a way to pull away late. The safer play is on the over. Final Score Prediction, Kansas City Chiefs win but our top play is the over 34-24.
