The Chicago Bears open the 2024 season at home looking to improve on an unsuccessful 2023. Chicago finished 2023 three games below .500 after a 1-5 start through the first six weeks. Former quarterback Justin Fields is now gone as he is with the Pittsburgh Steelers with Chicago turning the reins over to number one pick Caleb Williams. Offensively Chicago seemed to find their rhythm down the stretch of 2023 and that will carry over into 2024. Williams will come into a great spot as a rookie with an abundance of talent surrounding him led by DJ Moore and Keenan Allen.

Defensively despite a sub .500 record the Bears were the number one team against the run last year and forced an abundance of turnovers. Montez Sweat is still perhaps the biggest piece to the Chicago defensive puzzle after coming on strong following his mid season acquisition in 2023. Chicago has added several new faces over the last few years on the defensive side and will again rely on their pressure 2 impact games.

This is a matchup between two teams that had a ton of issues last year, but Chicago is one of the worst teams in football. The Bears are going to have struggles leak into 2024 from 2023.
