Super Bowl LVII Betting Props
The most unique aspect of the Super Bowl from a betting standpoint is the eclectic range of available prop bets.
You will find not only many of the same customary team/player props but also a vast assortment of novelty props that aren’t necessarily even tied to what happens in the game.
To find prop betting odds at your online sportsbook
- Go to NFL odds
- Find the Super Bowl game lines
- Click on the additional/more wagers tab at the bottom right corner.
This will take you to the Super Bowl LVII prop menu, where you can browse a range of diverse prop markets.
Team Props
The first type of prop is team/game props. These are wagers on events that will occur throughout the game, even if they aren’t necessarily tied to the overall outcome.
Some popular examples include:
- Which team will score first
- First score method (TD, FG, Safety)
- First drive result
- Race to 10 points
- Winning Margin
Player Props
Aided by the popularity of fantasy sports, player props are another exciting way to bet on the game. Just as the name suggests, with these, you are wagering on individual performances.
Some of the more common types of Super Bowl player props include
- Which player will score the first touchdown
- Will a player score a touchdown (anytime TD)
- Over/unders on passing/rushing/receiving yards
- Total number of receptions/completions
- Will the QB throw an interception (Y/N)
Novelty Props
These are props you won’t find on your average Sunday. Novelty props are unique to Super Bowl betting as part of a prop extravaganza.
Some common novelty props include:
- Coin toss (heads or tails)
- Length of the National Anthem
- Color of Gatorade poured on the winning coach
- Which brands will air their commercials first
- Will the TV broadcast mention gambling odds
How to Live Bet on the Super Bowl
Another way to get in on Super Bowl LVII action is with live betting. The rise in mobile sports betting has fueled live betting markets, which offer up to the second odds on traditional game lines, same game parlays, and props.
To participate in live betting, follow the same process as pregame betting. If you head over to the game odds, you will immediately notice some stark line movement as the spreads adjust to account for on-field action.
The same applies to prop markets which can be found via the additional wagers tab.
Live betting is a great way to get more favorable odds on a bet you like. For instance, if you like the San Francisco 49ers to win outright and they fall behind 7-0, you can lock in a moneyline wager at much better odds than were available before the game started.
Live betting can be advantageous, but it also comes with risks. Be sure to set limits and avoid chasing losses by doubling down on live markets.
