Seattle Seahawks 2022-23 - NFL Schedule

The Seattle Seahawks finished the 2021-22 NFL regular season 7-10 which was last in the NFC West. Seattle was 3-3 in division play, 3-5 at home and 4-5 on the road. Seattle begins its 2022-23 regular season without Russell Wilson under center for the first time since 2011. Wilson is now with the Denver Broncos and Geno Smith is expected to start at quarterback for Seattle in September.

Last season, Geno Smith passed for only 702 yards with five touchdowns and one interception in four games playing for the injured Wilson. Rashaad Penny is back, and last season led Seattle in rushing with 749 yards and six touchdowns. Tyler Lockhart is the leading receiver returning for Seattle and last season called 73 passes for 1,175 yards and eight touchdowns, while DK Metcalf is also back and last season caught 75 passes for 967 yards and 12 touchdowns.

Seattle's expected to change from a 4-3 defense to a 3-4. New defensive coordinator Clint Hurtt will implement the change into his system when players report to camp in early July. Darrell Taylor and Uchenna Nwosu are expected to be the starters at each end position while the nose tackle will be Shelby Harris. Cody Barton, Jordyn Brooks, Joel Iyiegbuniwe and Jon Rhattigan will be the four starting linebackers. Seattle’s secondary will be led by safeties Jamal Adams and Quandre Diggs and cornerbacks Tre Brown and Sidney Jones IV.
