Seahawks at Steelers 9/15/19 - NFL Picks & Predictions

Heinz Field will play host to a Sunday afternoon NFL clash between the Seattle Seahawks and Pittsburgh Steelers. Seattle started off the season with a closer than anticipated 21-20 home victory versus Cincinnati. Russell Wilson hooked up with Tyler Lockett on a 44 yard touchdown pass to start the fourth quarter and put Seattle ahead by four points. Wilson finished the day with 196 passing yards and two touchdowns.

The Seahawks were outgained on the afternoon by a 429-233 margin and managed just 24 minutes of possession. Seattle’s defense forced three turnovers and limited Cincinnati to 2.4 yards per rush.

The Pittsburgh Steelers came into the season with plenty of expectations, but failed to show up during a 33-3 road loss against New England on Sunday night. Veteran QB Ben Roethlisberger completed 27-for-47 passes and finished with 276 passing yards. JuJu Smith-Schuster added six catches for 78 yards in a losing effort for the Steelers. 

Pittsburgh will have to go back to the drawing board, after managing just 32 yards on the ground against New England. The Steelers’ defense allowed the Patriots to convert 7-for-14 on third down.
